Two numbers come up most often when buying an LED screen. Here's what they actually mean for your venue.
Pixel pitch is the distance (in millimetres) between each LED cluster on the screen. A smaller number means more pixels per square metre — and a sharper image at close range.
| 1.8mm – 2.5mm | Best for viewing within 2–6m. Crisp detail — ideal for a pub bar or tight fan zone. |
| 2.5mm – 3.9mm | Great for viewing at 4–12m. Slightly softer up close but more cost-effective for larger rooms. |
| 4mm+ | Outdoor and long-distance viewing. Excellent for fan zones and external screens. |
Nits measure how bright a screen is. Higher nits means the image stays vivid even in bright ambient light — essential for venues with windows or outdoor areas.
